| AN ACT concerning insurance.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding |

| Section 155.42 as follows:
|

| Sec. 155.42. Identity theft insurance consumer fact sheet. |
| 8 |
| The Department shall develop an appropriate consumer fact sheet |
| 9 |
| to be provided to consumers, either via the Department's |
| 10 |
| website or by hard copy if requested, regarding identity theft |
| 11 |
| insurance. The fact sheet shall include at a minimum, |
| 12 |
| information on what is generally covered under identity theft |
| 13 |
| insurance and on how to protect himself or herself from |
| 14 |
| identity theft.
