| AN ACT concerning finance.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Transportation Law of the
|
| 5 |
| Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding |
| 6 |
| Section 2705-280 as follows:
|
| 7 |
| (20 ILCS 2705/2705-280 new)
|
| 8 |
| Sec. 2705-280. The Airport Improvement Fund. The Airport |
| 9 |
| Improvement Fund is created as a special fund in the State |
| 10 |
| treasury. From moneys appropriated from the Fund, the |
| 11 |
| Department must make grants to airport authorities in the State |
| 12 |
| for airport improvement projects that do not qualify for |
| 13 |
| federal funding.

| 14 |
| Section 10. The State Finance Act is amended by adding |
| 15 |
| Section 5.675 as follows:
|
| 16 |
| (30 ILCS 105/5.675 new) |
| 17 |
| Sec. 5.675. The Airport Improvement Fund.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 19 |
| becoming law.
