AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1397

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1397, AS AMENDED,

with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
4
2, on page 8, line 9, by adding "and by adding Section 3-19-15" 
5
after "3-3-7"; and

on page 16, by inserting immediately below line 17 the 
7
following:

    "(730 ILCS 5/3-19-15  new)

    Sec. 3-19-15. Task Force on Transitional Housing for Sex 
10
Offenders.
11
    (a) There is created the Task Force on Transitional Housing 
12
Facilities for Sex Offenders. The Task Force shall be composed 
13
of the following members:
14
        (1)  Two members from the Department of Corrections 
15
    appointed by the Director of Corrections;
16
        (2)  Two members from the Prisoner Review Board

    appointed by that Board;
2
        (3) Two members of the Senate appointed by the 
3
    President of the Senate;
4
        (4) Two members of the Senate appointed by the Minority 
5
    Leader of the Senate;
6
        (5) Two members of the House of Representatives 
7
    appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives;
8
        (6) Two members of the House of Representatives 
9
    appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of 
10
    Representatives; and
11
        (7)  Two members of the Governor's Office appointed by 
12
    the Governor.

    (b)  The Task Force shall study the implementation, cost, 
14
placement, and effectiveness of transitional housing 
15
facilities for sex offenders released from facilities of the 
16
Department of Corrections.

    (c) The members of the Task Force shall receive no 
18
compensation for their services as members of the Task Force 
19
but may be reimbursed for their actual expenses incurred in 
20
serving on the Task Force  from appropriations made to them for 
21
such purpose.".
