| AN ACT concerning local government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 |
| 6-20001 as follows:
|

| (55 ILCS 5/6-20001) (from Ch. 34, par. 6-20001)

| Sec. 6-20001. Appropriation; purpose. The county boards of |
| 8 |
| the
the
several counties of this State are hereby authorized |
| 9 |
| and empowered to
make appropriations to and for the use of |
| 10 |
| county soil and crop improvement
associations and home |
| 11 |
| improvement associations, or any other like
associations |
| 12 |
| organized for the improvement of general agricultural or
home |
| 13 |
| conditions, annually, which is hereby declared to be for county
|
| 14 |
| purposes, and to be paid to the treasurer of such association |
| 15 |
| as soon as
the annual taxes shall have been collected in like |
| 16 |
| manner as all other
expenditures are authorized and expended by |
| 17 |
| said boards.
