| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 8

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 8 on page 1, by |

| replacing lines 14 and 15 with the following: |

| "each applicant who qualifies under this Act. An individual may |
| 5 |
| receive a grant under this Act each year for up to 4 years. The |
| 6 |
| amount of this grant may not exceed $5,000 per recipient per |
| 7 |
| year. The Commission"; and
|
| 8 |
| on page 2, by replacing lines 18 through 21 with the following: |
| 9 |
| "(c) For each year during which an individual receives a |
| 10 |
| grant under this program, he or she must fulfill a separate |
| 11 |
| 12-month period as a registered professional nurse or licensed |
| 12 |
| practical nurse in a State veterans' home."; and
|
| 13 |
| by deleting all of pages 5 through 7 and lines 1 through 6 on |
| 14 |
| page 8.
