HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Bill Guerrini on 
4
his induction into the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Bill Guerrini, of the Spring Valley Walleye Club, 
6
will be recognized on February 28, 2009 at the annual Illinois 
7
Outdoor Hall of Fame banquet, held by the Illinois Conservation 
8
Foundation; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Bill Guerrini is described as "a lifelong advocate 
10
for outdoor recreation in Illinois"; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, He was one of the State's first volunteer Hunter 
12
Safety Education course instructors in the 1970s; he is an 
13
educator and coach, and the founder of the Spring Valley 
14
Walleye Club; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, In 1987 he helped bring the Master's Walleye 
16
Circuit professional fishing tournament to Illinois; the 
17
tournament has served as a promotion for the Illinois River 
18
walleye and sauger fishery for more than twenty years; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, He also promotes youth fishing events and boating 
20
in Northern and Central Illinois; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Bill Guerrini on this honor and wish him the best 
4
in his future endeavors; and be it further

 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to Bill Guerrini as a symbol of our respect and 
7
esteem.
