HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and 
4
employees of David A. Noyes & Company on the occasion of the 
5
organization's 100th anniversary; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, David A. Noyes & Company was founded in 1908; the 
7
organization is the oldest New York Stock Exchange member firm 
8
headquartered in Chicago and was commemorated at the NYSE with 
9
a closing bell ceremony on August 5, 2008; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, David A. Noyes & Company has a sterling reputation 
11
as a dedicated and reputable financial organization; the 
12
organization's M.B. Vick Division has provided expert guidance 
13
and disciplined implementation of taxable and tax-exempt fixed 
14
income securities for over 75 years; the organization has also 
15
provided personal, customized investment counsel to 
16
individuals, families, and businesses, many of  them spanning 
17
generations of service; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, To celebrate the organization's 100th 
19
anniversary, the firm has dedicated itself to "A Year of 
20
Service" campaign focused on volunteer and charity efforts for 
21
children's causes around Chicagoland communities; therefore, 
22

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

congratulate the owners and employees of David A. Noyes & 
4
Company on the occasion of the organization's 100th anniversary 
5
and wish them continued success and happiness in the future;

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
