HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Rosemary Garrett 
4
of Chicago on her retirement from the Chicago Park District, 
5
where she served as a Playground Supervisor for the 
6
Rosenblum/Horace Mann School Park from March 2004 to November 
7
2007; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Her many duties as Playground Supervisor included 
9
organizing activities for children from the ages of 6 through 
10
12 for the Park Kids Program, scheduling staff for the various 
11
activities, ordering supplies and equipment, and directing the 
12
Day Camp Program; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, In the area of office administration she was 
14
responsible for preparing attendance reports, collecting and 
15
depositing monies for programs, preparing various reports for 
16
the organization, and keeping logs for the park; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, She also worked in other parks during her career, 
18
including Bradley Park, Gately Park, Palmer Park, Midway 
19
Plaisance Skating Rink, Robert Taylor Park, Fuller Park, Ogden 
20
Park, Jackson Park, and Tuley Park; and

    WHEREAS, Rosemary Garrett has shown a dedication and

committment to the lives of children and will be greatly missed 
2
from the Chicago City Parks; she will now have time to enjoy 
3
life with her husband, Leonard, her children, and her 
4
grandchild; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
congratulate Rosemary Garrett on her retirement and wish her 
8
much happiness in her future endeavors; and be it further

 
9
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to Rosemary Garrett as a symbol of our respect and 
11
esteem.
