HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the congregation 
4
of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Robbins on the occasion of the 
5
church's 103rd anniversary; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Bethel A.M.E. Church has been a pillar of the 
7
Robbins community for the past 103 years and has served as a 
8
source of stability and spirituality for the citizens of 
9
Robbins, both young and old; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, The Bethel A.M.E. Church members have dedicated 
11
much of their time and energy to helping the children of their 
12
community; they created a Tender Heart Reading Program to help 
13
the children of their community experience the joys of reading; 
14
the church also created an abstinence and character-building 
15
program for teenagers; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, The Bethel A.M.E. Church has been a cornerstone of 
17
the religious and civic history of the Village of Robbins and 
18
of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

 
19
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
21
congratulate the congregation of Bethel A.M.E. Church on the

occasion of the church's 103rd anniversary and wish them

continued success and happiness in the future; and be it

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
