HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sergeant John 
4
Albrecht on the occasion of his retirement from the Joliet 
5
Police Department after 28 years of dedicated service; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Sergeant John Albrecht was born on May 13, 1957; 
7
he graduated from Western Illinois University, majoring in law 
8
enforcement; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Sergeant John Albrecht has served faithfully as an 
10
officer with the Joliet Police Department for 28 years and has 
11
served as a sergeant for 10 years; he served on the 
12
neighborhood oriented police unit and the special service unit 
13
and was involved in many undercover assignments; he was the 
14
supervisor of the special service unit at the time of his 
15
retirement; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Sergeant John Albrecht was the recipient of the 
17
Problem Solving and Unit Merit Awards in recognition of his 
18
dutiful service to the Joliet community; and

 

19
    WHEREAS, Sergeant John Albrecht will enjoy his 
20
long-deserved retirement with his wife, Pat; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Sergeant John Albrecht on the occasion of his 
4
retirement and wish him many happy and healthy retirement 
5
years; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to John Albrecht as a symbol of our esteem and 
8
respect.
