HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lois Zoller on 
4
receiving the Sidney Berkowitz Leadership award from the Jewish 
5
Child and Family Services organization in Chicago; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Lois Zoller is a longtime friend of the 
7
organization, including past involvement with the Jewish 
8
Family and Community Service organization and service on the 
9
board; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, She is involved with the Jewish Federation of 
11
Metropolitan Chicago, she served as Community Campaign Chair 
12
and Women's Division President, and she currently serves on 
13
seven committees; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, She serves on the board of the American Jewish 
15
Joint Distribution Committee, the Chicago and International 
16
board of the Weizmann Institute of Science, the local and 
17
International Hillel, Livnot u'Lehibanot, and Project 
18
Interchange, where she served as past National Chair; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, She serves on the advisory boards of the American 
20
Jewish Committee, Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, Hebrew 
21
University, Emergency Fund for Needy People, and Magen David

    WHEREAS, Lois Zoller serves on the National Women's 
3
Philanthropy Advisory Board of United Jewish Communities, and 
4
served on the board for thirty years; she was also the past 
5
National Chair of the Joint Action Committee; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8
congratulate Lois Zoller on receiving the Sidney Berkowitz 
9
Leadership award and wish her the best in her future endeavors; 
10
and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12
presented to Lois Zoller as  a symbol of our respect and esteem.
