HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives wish to congratulate the Breese Central 
4
Cougars Girls Volleyball Team on winning the Class 2A State 
5
Tournament; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Breese Central  defeated the Hampshire Whip-Purs 
7
on November 10, 2007 by scores of 25-17, 19-25, and 25-21 to 
8
bring home the championship title; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, The title was the second for Breese Central in 
10
three years and the third for the volleyball program; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Breese Central won the Greenville Regional, the 
12
Nashville Sectional, and the McLeansboro Super-Sectional 
13
before heading to the State competition; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, The Varsity Coach of the Lady Cougars is Jim Cook; 
15
and the Assistant Coach is Kelly Potthast; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, The members of the Breese Central Lady Cougars are 
17
Andrea Ratermann, Courtney Strieker, Tara Benhoff, Jena 
18
Norrenberns, Kati Scheer, Jessica Hemann, Lauren Budde, Allyn 
19
Beckmann, Stephanie Woker, Shelby Luebbers, Allye Wuest, Denae 
20
Schoenherr, Brittany Monken, and Kelsey Johnson; therefore, be

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4
congratulate the Breese Central Cougars Girls Volleyball Team 
5
on winning the Class 2A State Tournament and wish them the best 
6
in their future endeavors; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the Breese Central Lady Cougars as a symbol of our 
9
respect.
