HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ruth E. 
4
Donnewald, nee Holtgrave, of Breese who passed away on August 
5
18, 2007; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald was born June 18, 1928, in Breese, 
7
to Alvin and Lenore Bingham Holtgrave; they preceded her in 
8
death; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald married former State treasurer and 
10
State Senator James H. Donnewald on June 24, 1953, in St. 
11
Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; and

    WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald was preceded in death by her 
13
parents, her sister, Carolyn Fredenberg; a sister-in-law, 
14
Shirley Holtgrave; and brothers-in-law, Freemont "Slugger" 
15
Wobbe, Jerry Farrell, Alan Christinsin, Larry Brauch and Peter 
16
Fredenberg; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Mrs. Donnewald was a homemaker and a member of St. 
18
Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; and
 
19
    WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald is survived by her husband, James; 
20
her children, Eric (Pam) Donnewald, Craig (Theresa) Donnewald,

and Jill (Ken) Kailin; her grandchildren, Katie and Steven 
2
Donnewald and Mitchell, Jenna and Elise Kailin; her brother, 
3
Ray (Angie) Holtgrave; and her sisters, Martha Wobbe, Rita 
4
Christinsin, Elizabeth "Bess" Brauch, and Mary Margaret 
5
"MaGee" Farrell; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8
mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ruth 
9
Donnewald; and be it further

 
10
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to the family of Ruth Donnewald as a symbol of our 
12
sympathy.
