HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dr. Eric Horn for 
4
his new positions as Assistant Professor of Neurological 
5
Surgery and Director of Spinal Neurosurgery at the Indiana 
6
University College of Medicine in Indianapolis; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Dr. Eric Horn is the son of Daniel and Jill Horn, 
8
and Bonnie Horn; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Dr. Eric Horn received his medical degree and 
10
research doctorate in Neuroscience in 2000 from the Medical 
11
Scholars Program at the University of Illinois College of 
12
Medicine; he completed his neurosurgical residency at the 
13
Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona under Dr. 
14
Robert Spetzler in June 2007; and he completed his 
15
sub-specialty fellowship training in spinal neurosurgery and 
16
spinal trauma under Dr. Volker Sonntag and Dr. Nicholas 
17
Theodore in 2005; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Dr. Eric Horn and his wife Karen have a son, 
19
Nicholas; the family plans to reside in Zionsville, Indiana 
20
during Dr. Horn's tenure at the Indiana University College of 
21
Medicine; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Dr. Eric Horn on the occasion of his new positions 
4
as Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery and as Director 
5
of Spinal Neurosurgery at the Indiana University College of 
6
Medicine in Indianapolis and wish him continued success and 
7
happiness in the future; and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to Dr. Eric Horn as a symbol of our esteem and 
10
respect.
