HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Carl Leonard Carr 
4
on his retirement as a trustee of the Niantic Fire Protection 
5
District; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Carl Carr started on the Niantic Fire Protection 
7
District in the spring of 1938 at the age of fifteen; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Between the years of 1938 and 1969 he rose to the 
9
rank of Assistant Chief with the District; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Carl Carr became a Trustee for the Niantic Fire 
11
Protection District in the summer of 1969; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Carl Carr has seen the updating of all the 
13
equipment and the building of a new fire house in 2001; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Carl Leonard Carr will be retiring on May 31, 
15
2007; this date will mark 69 years of dedicated service that he 
16
has provided to the people of Niantic; therefore, be it

 
17
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19
congratulate Carl Leonard Carr on his retirement and wish him

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to Carl Leonard Carr as a symbol of our respect.
