HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, Teenage residents of the Township of Schaumburg 
3
represent an important but under-appreciated segment of the 
4
population; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, The teen years comprise the transitional stages of 
6
human development from childhood to adulthood; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, During these transitions, teenagers need and 
8
deserve their community's understanding, guidance, and 
9
support; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, The creative energy and passion of adolescents 
11
often help to refresh our culture and constructively challenge 
12
our ideas, to the benefit of our society; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Negative publicity about teenagers often 
14
overshadow community awareness of teenagers overwhelming 
15
accomplishments and positive contributions to the life of our 
16
community and society; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, August 12-18, 2007 is Teen Appreciation Week 
18
throughout the Township of Schaumburg; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2
congratulate the Township of Schaumburg on recognizing their 
3
teen population for the good they bring to the communities in 
4
Schaumburg Township with the celebration of Teen Appreciation 
5
Week; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the Schaumburg Township Supervisor.
