HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to honor young people of the State 
4
who have excelled in sports and athletics; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Johanna, John, and Judson Wienke, the children of 
6
Stan and Robyn Wienke, of Tuscola, Illinois, have proven 
7
themselves to be incredible athletes and have been honored for 
8
their achievements; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Johanna Wienke

was the 2001 National second place 
10
winner in the discus, bestowed by the USA Track and Field 
11
Federation Association;

she was the 2001 State Champion in shot 
12
put and discus, bestowed by the Illinois Elementary School 
13
Association; she was the

2002 State Champion in shot put and 
14
discus, bestowed by the Illinois Elementary School 
15
Association; she was the

2004 State Champion in discus, 
16
bestowed by the Illinois High School Association; and she was 
17
the 2006 State Champion in discus, bestowed by the Illinois 
18
High School Association; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, John Wienke

was the 2004 State Champion in discus,  
20
bestowed by the Illinois Elementary School Association; he was 
21
the

2006 Class IA Football State Championship Team member, 
22
bestowed by the Illinois High School Association; his many

positions played include: quarterback, defensive end, and 
2
punter; he holds the

2006 State Record with 384-yards passing 
3
in the IHSA State Championship game; he holds the

2006 State 
4
Record of 4 touchdown passes in the IHSA State Championship 
5
game; and he holds the
2006 State Record for the longest 
6
touchdown pass (80 yards) to Nick Hanke in the IHSA State 
7
Championship game; and

    WHEREAS, Judson Wienke

was the 2006 State Champion in shot 
9
put and discus, bestowed by the Illinois Elementary School 
10
Association;  he is the

All-time Statewide record holder in shot 
11
put; and he volunteers for the Tuscola Fire and Police 
12
Department; and

    WHEREAS, Their proud siblings are Jenna and Jason Wienke; 
14
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
16
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
17
congratulate Johanna, John, and Judson Wienke on all their 
18
achievements and wish them the best for their futures; and be 
19
it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
21
presented to the Wienke family.
