| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Estelle Kerpan, formerly |
| 4 |
| of North Chicago, on Monday, August 14, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on May 8, 1911 in Round Lake; she was |
| 6 |
| united in marriage to Joseph Kerpan on September 28, 1940; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She worked at the Foltz Macaroni Company in |
| 8 |
| Libertyville, the Northshore Rail Office in Highwood, and the |
| 9 |
| Marshall Fields store in Lake Forest; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of Queen Peace Church, Royal |
| 11 |
| Neighbors of America, and enjoyed playing pinochle in her card |
| 12 |
| club; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Estelle Kerpan has been deeply felt |
| 14 |
| by many, especially her son John Kerpan; her daughter, Janet |
| 15 |
| kerpan; her granddaughter, Kimberly (Mark) Wilkens; her great |
| 16 |
| grandchildren, Adam, Kevin, and Katherine Wilkens; her |
| 17 |
| nephews, Terry and Glenn Grinus and Howard Herber; she was |
| 18 |
| preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her daughter-in-law, |
| 19 |
| Elenore Kerpan; her sisters, Vera Petersen and Helen Herber; |
| 20 |
| and her brother, Barney Grinus; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 23 |
| Estelle Kerpan, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 24 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 25 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 28 |
| sympathy.
