| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Lois A. Giebelhausen of |
| 4 |
| East Peoria on Thursday, August 24, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on January 31, 1934, in Havana to |
| 6 |
| Otis O. and Orlana Williams Smith; she was united in marriage |
| 7 |
| with Elmer R. Giebelhausen on August 27, 1955, in Pekin; he |
| 8 |
| preceded her in death on December 1, 1994; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Giebelhausen was a registered nurse and |
| 10 |
| retired from Saint Francis Medical Center in 1981; she was a |
| 11 |
| past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2078 |
| 12 |
| Auxiliary; she enjoyed working in the yard; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Lois A. Giebelhausen has been |
| 14 |
| deeply felt by many, especially her sons, Rick (Linda) |
| 15 |
| Giebelhausen, David (Julie) Giebelhausen, and Jeff (Lori) |
| 16 |
| Giebelhausen; her daughters, Veralyn Harr and Teri (Larry) |
| 17 |
| Warren; her twelve grandchildren; her brother, Jack Smith; and |
| 18 |
| her two sisters, Sally (Ted) Jackson and Alta (Jess) Hackett; |
| 19 |
| in addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one |
| 20 |
| sister and one brother; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 23 |
| Lois A. Giebelhausen, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
| 24 |
| her family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be |
| 25 |
| it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 28 |
| sympathy.
