| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with regret of the death of Josephine Monti of Coello |
| 4 |
| on Thursday, July 21, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on July 23, 1915, in Coello to Groni |
| 6 |
| "Tom" Gaetano and Carlotta Sessa; she married Baptisto "Bob" |
| 7 |
| Monti; he preceded her in death; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was retired from Egyptian News and Austin |
| 9 |
| Publishing after 30 years; she and her two sisters had operated |
| 10 |
| Sister's Tavern in Coello; she was a member of St. Andrews |
| 11 |
| Catholic Church in Christopher; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Josephine Monti has been deeply |
| 13 |
| felt by many, especially her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and |
| 14 |
| Brenda Monti; her grandchildren, Tom Monti, Michael Monti, and |
| 15 |
| Danny Monti; her sister, Charlotte Hansch; her special |
| 16 |
| great-great-nephews, Dalton and Ryan Bond and Bo Brockett; and |
| 17 |
| her special friend, Stella Kesler; in addition to her husband, |
| 18 |
| she was preceded in death by her mother; her father; her |
| 19 |
| stepmother, Maria Gaetano; her sisters, Irene Jones, Amelia |
| 20 |
| Basolo, and Virginia Hutcheson; her infant brother; and her |
| 21 |
| nephew, Richard Bazzoni; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Josephine Monti, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 25 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 26 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 29 |
| sympathy.
