| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Juanita "Nanny" Bailey of |
| 4 |
| Freeman Spur on May 14, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was the daughter of Thomas and Neva (Helms) |
| 6 |
| Gentry; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She married Wayne Bailey on October 11, 1946, in |
| 8 |
| Karnak, Mississippi; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She worked most of her life; after retiring in |
| 10 |
| 1973, she was a homemaker; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her |
| 12 |
| husband; her brothers, Bobby, James, and Billy Gentry; and her |
| 13 |
| sister, Gloria Reed; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Juanita "Nanny" Bailey is felt by |
| 15 |
| all who knew and loved her, especially her daughter and |
| 16 |
| son-in-law, Patty and Mike Crabtree; her granddaughter and |
| 17 |
| husband, LeeAnn and Steve Ward; her great-grandchildren, Kaleb |
| 18 |
| and Kylie Ward; her sisters, Lois Garavalia, Peggy Ridgway, and |
| 19 |
| Sharon Gentry; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 22 |
| Juanita "Nanny" Bailey and extend our sincerest condolences to |
| 23 |
| her family; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 26 |
| sympathy.
