| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Vivian Holland of Herrin on |
| 4 |
| Thursday, May 12, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Holland was born on November 5, 1910, in |
| 6 |
| Herrin to George and Versie (Bradshaw) Vancil; she married Roy |
| 7 |
| Holland; he preceded her in death on June 5, 1974; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of |
| 9 |
| God in Murphysboro; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Vivian Holland has been deeply felt |
| 11 |
| by many, especially her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and |
| 12 |
| Elijah Green; her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Ramona |
| 13 |
| Holland; her grandchildren, Vicki Griffin, Michael Green, Roy |
| 14 |
| Holland, Scott Holland, Kelly Restivo, Terrell Holland, and |
| 15 |
| Dustin Holland; her 11 great-grandchildren; her two |
| 16 |
| great-great-grandchildren; her stepbrother, Walter Gooden; and |
| 17 |
| her stepsister, Cleda Wilfong; in addition to her husband, she |
| 18 |
| was preceded in death by her daughter, Pasty Ann Gibson; her |
| 19 |
| parents; her brothers, Vernon, Carl, and Virgil Vancil; her |
| 20 |
| sisters, Doris Inchcliff, Violet Beavers, and Georgie Veers; |
| 21 |
| and her great-grandson, Sterling Holland; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Vivian Holland, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her |
| 25 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 26 |
| further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 29 |
| sympathy.
