| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| were grieved to learn of the death of Charles "Duke" Andrew |
| 4 |
| Craig of Buda on Sunday, February 13, 2005; and |
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on August 7, 1946, in Chicago to |
| 6 |
| Andrew and Wanda (Garris) Craig; he married Mary Toothaker on |
| 7 |
| May 1, 1976, in Chicago; and |
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Craig retired as a realtor in 1988; he |
| 9 |
| valiantly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member |
| 10 |
| of the U.S. Marine Corps; he was a member of the Wyanet VFW |
| 11 |
| post 6634, the Princeton American Legion Post 125 and Disabled |
| 12 |
| American Veterans in Chicago; and |
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Charles "Duke" Andrew Craig has |
| 14 |
| been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Mary; his sons, |
| 15 |
| Timothy (Charlene) Craig, James (Theresa) Craig, and Charles |
| 16 |
| Jr. (Crystal) Craig; his daughters, Deborah (Stephen) |
| 17 |
| Mitchley, Nancy (Lincoln) Forrester, Cassandra Craig, Roxane |
| 18 |
| (John) Ruch, and Morgan (Mark) Williams; his sisters, Marianne |
| 19 |
| Ryan and Kelly (Mike) Connolly; his brothers, Daniel (Dawn) |
| 20 |
| Craig and Andrew Craig; and his nine grandchildren; he was |
| 21 |
| preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Craig; and a |
| 22 |
| sister, Patricia Malick; therefore, be it |
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 24 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 25 |
| Charles "Duke" Andrew Craig, and we extend our deepest sympathy |
| 26 |
| to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be |
| 27 |
| it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 29 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our sincere |
| 30 |
| condolences.
