| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to recognize milestone events in |
| 4 |
| the lives of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Thomas M. Graber is world famous in the field |
| 6 |
| of orthodontics; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Graber began his teaching career in 1946 at |
| 8 |
| Northwestern University; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, From 1969 to 1982, he was the Head of Orthodontics |
| 10 |
| at the University of Chicago; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Since 1994 he has been teaching at the University |
| 12 |
| of Illinois at Chicago; and |
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Graber has given more than 450 continuing |
| 14 |
| education courses around the world; and |
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Graber has given more lectures on American |
| 16 |
| Association of Orthodontists annual programs than any other |
| 17 |
| person in history; and |
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Graber has founded many associations and |
| 19 |
| councils in the fields of dentistry and orthodontics; and |
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Graber is an generous philanthropist, having |
| 21 |
| endowed a Professorship at the University of Michigan and |
| 22 |
| contributed to the University of Illinois at Chicago College of |
| 23 |
| Dentistry; and |
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, At the age of 89, Dr. Graber has not slowed down |
| 25 |
| his commitment to the field of orthodontics and is an |
| 26 |
| inspiration to all of us; therefore, be it
