| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The Retired Teachers Association of Chicago will |
| 3 |
| be celebrating its 80th birthday this year; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, The Association now has some 22,000 members; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The Association has provided social, educational, |
| 6 |
| and legislative programs to its members over many years; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The Association has been an active participant in |
| 8 |
| legislative issues protecting the pensions of its members; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Retired Teachers Association of Chicago |
| 10 |
| enjoys the respect and support of legislators, Pension Fund |
| 11 |
| Trustees, the Chicago Teachers Union, and the Chicago Public |
| 12 |
| Schools; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 15 |
| we congratulate the Retired Teachers Association of Chicago on |
| 16 |
| its 80 years of service to its many members; and be it further

| 17 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 |
| presented to the Association.
