| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, James M. Coogan was recently named the first |
| 3 |
| recipient of the Doctor Thomas P. Driscoll Memorial Award given |
| 4 |
| by Leo High School; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, No Leo High School man in the past 50 years was |
| 6 |
| better known than Doctor Thomas P. "Doc" Driscoll; he was a top |
| 7 |
| student and generous financial supporter of the school's |
| 8 |
| causes, team physician to countless Leo families, and provider |
| 9 |
| of numerous scholarships to deserving young men; he loved Leo |
| 10 |
| High School and set an example for all of its students and |
| 11 |
| alumni to emulate; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, James M. Coogan from the class of 1944 truly |
| 13 |
| emulates Doc's love of Leo High School; he was a classmate and |
| 14 |
| a true friend of Doc's for over 50 years; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Coogan has served for many years as an Alumni |
| 16 |
| Association Director; he worked with Doc as a part of the |
| 17 |
| greatest Leo Alumni ad book sales team and had always answered |
| 18 |
| the call to serve Leo and its causes; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, In recognition of his many years of dedicated |
| 20 |
| service to the Leo Alumni Association, he was named the first |
| 21 |
| recipient of the Driscoll Award; therefore, be it
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 23 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 24 |
| we congratulate James M. Coogan on being the first recipient of |
| 25 |
| the Doctor Thomas P. Driscoll Memorial Award given by Leo High |
| 26 |
| School; and be it further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to Mr. Coogan as an expression of our esteem.
