| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, May 1-7, 2006, is recognized as National Teacher |
| 3 |
| Appreciation Week; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Teachers make public schools great; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, They nurture our children, help them grow, make |
| 6 |
| sacrifices, and dedicate their time and energy to helping our |
| 7 |
| children succeed; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Teachers work to open student's minds to ideas, |
| 9 |
| knowledge, and dreams; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, They fill many roles, as listeners, explorers, |
| 11 |
| role models, motivators, and mentors; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Teachers keep American democracy alive by laying |
| 13 |
| the foundation for good citizenship; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Teachers continue to influence us long after our |
| 15 |
| school days are only memories; therefore, be it
|
| 16 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 17 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 18 |
| in recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Week, we honor |
| 19 |
| the teachers of District 129 for their many hours of work |
| 20 |
| dedicated to the education of the students of Illinois; and be |
| 21 |
| it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to District 129 as an expression of our gratitude and |
| 24 |
| esteem.
