| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The City of Breese is celebrating its 150th |
| 3 |
| anniversary in June of 2006; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, The celebration includes a visit by the Mobile |
| 5 |
| Vietnam Wall Memorial, a raffle for a 2006 Mustang Convertible, |
| 6 |
| a vintage baseball tournament, a car show, and a parade; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The Mobile Vietnam Wall Memorial is a scaled |
| 8 |
| replica of The Wall located in Washington, D.C., that travels |
| 9 |
| the country; it was developed to give those who are unable to |
| 10 |
| travel to Washington the opportunity to see their loved ones' |
| 11 |
| names on the Wall; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The celebration events are sponsored by the |
| 13 |
| Vietnam Veterans of America, the
Lions Club, the
Fire |
| 14 |
| Department, the
Jaycees, the
American Legion Auxiliary, and the
|
| 15 |
| Historical Society; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The sesquicentennial celebration will occur the |
| 17 |
| weekend of June 2-4, 2006; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 |
| we recognize the sesquicentennial of the City of Breese, and we |
| 21 |
| wish the residents a prosperous future; and be it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to the City of Breese as an expression of our esteem.
