| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Tom Rivera on |
| 4 |
| being inducted into the Illinois Tourism Hall of Fame; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Rivera has worked for 22 years in the tourism |
| 6 |
| industry, and in his position as president of the Greater |
| 7 |
| Woodfield Convention and Visitors Bureau, he has helped to |
| 8 |
| generate $50 million a year in tourism revenue for the |
| 9 |
| 12-community area it serves; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Most recently, his tenure has seen the opening of |
| 11 |
| a Schaumburg convention center and a Hoffman Estates sports |
| 12 |
| arena; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Rivera was among four retiring leaders to be |
| 14 |
| inducted into the new Illinois Tourism Hall of Fame during the |
| 15 |
| recent Illinois Governor's Conference on Tourism in |
| 16 |
| Springfield; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 18 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 19 |
| we congratulate Tom Rivera on being inducted into the Illinois |
| 20 |
| Tourism Hall of Fame; and be it further
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 |
| presented to Mr. Rivera as an expression of our esteem.
