| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to recognize milestone events in |
| 4 |
| the lives of citizens of the State; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Edward |
| 6 |
| Polaszewski (aka Polaski) will celebrate his 100th birthday on |
| 7 |
| May 23, 2005; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He is the eldest of four siblings and was born in |
| 9 |
| Chicago on May 23, 1905; he married Josephine Smuskiewicz on |
| 10 |
| August 30, 1930; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He once delivered milk for a living in his early |
| 12 |
| years and owned and operated a meat delivery business, serving |
| 13 |
| customers in the Chicago area; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, He is the proud father of six daughters and one |
| 15 |
| son and is the grandfather of 15; he is the great-grandfather |
| 16 |
| of 31, with two more on the way, and the |
| 17 |
| great-great-grandfather of two; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Polaszewski is a treasured relative and friend |
| 19 |
| of many; he is currently an exemplary citizen of Evergreen Park |
| 20 |
| in Cook County; therefore, be it
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 22 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 23 |
| we congratulate Edward Polaszewski on reaching the |
| 24 |
| distinguished age of 100 years; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to Mr. Polaszewski as an expression of our esteem and |
| 27 |
| with best wishes on the occasion of his birthday.
