| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, A benefit is planned on April 30, 2005, for Mr. |
| 3 |
| Robert Workman; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, He suffered a massive brain aneurysm six months |
| 5 |
| ago at his home; his wife, who is a nurse, was home at the time |
| 6 |
| and the doctors have said the only reason he survived was |
| 7 |
| because his wife knew what to do when this occurred; and |
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Proceeds from the benefit will be used to assist |
| 9 |
| with his medical and rehabilitation expenses; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Workman is 51 years of age; he was employed as |
| 11 |
| a supervisor at Knapheide Manufacturing Company in Quincy for |
| 12 |
| many years and was still working when this incident occurred; |
| 13 |
| and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, He did a great deal of volunteer work in the |
| 15 |
| community; in particular, he devoted many hours volunteering at |
| 16 |
| the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, He is a very caring person who is well thought of |
| 18 |
| in the community; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 |
| we declare April 30, 2005, to be Robert Workman Day and we |
| 22 |
| congratulate the organizers of the benefit as they join in this |
| 23 |
| effort to help Mr. Workman; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to Mr. Robert Workman with our best wishes.
