| WHEREAS, Nat P. Ozmon, Senior Partner and a founder of |
| 3 |
| Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak, & Kohen, Ltd., will be celebrating |
| 4 |
| his 80th birthday on March 4, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born in Davenport, Iowa, attended college |
| 6 |
| at New York University, and received his law degree from |
| 7 |
| Northwestern University, where he was first in his class; he |
| 8 |
| was elected to the Board of Law Review and installed in the |
| 9 |
| Order of the Coif, the legal scholastic honor society; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Ozmon has spent over 50 years working as a |
| 11 |
| trial and appellate lawyer, dedicated to preserving and |
| 12 |
| enhancing the rights of injured victims; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He is a recognized Leader of the Bar, and is a |
| 14 |
| Past President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association; he |
| 15 |
| served on the Managing Boards of the Association of Trial |
| 16 |
| Lawyers of America, the Chicago Bar Association, and The |
| 17 |
| Society of Trial Lawyers; he is a pioneer in expanding the law |
| 18 |
| to protect injured construction workers; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Ozmon has been recognized for his work in many |
| 20 |
| ways; he received the Leonard Ring Lifetime Achievement Award |
| 21 |
| for his commitment to victims rights and trial by jury; he |
| 22 |
| earned the American Ort Jurispurdence Award for a lifetime of |
| 23 |
| distinguished service to the legal profession; the Board of |
| 24 |
| Regents of the Academy of Illinois Lawyers designated him as a |
| 25 |
| Laureate in recognition for his high standards and integrity in |
| 26 |
| his contributions to the legal community; and he has been |
| 27 |
| listed in the publications "Best Lawyers in America" and |
| 28 |
| "Leading Illinois Attorneys"; and
|
| 29 |
| WHEREAS, He has been a facility member of the National |
| 30 |
| Institute for Trial Advocacy, The Illinois College of Advocacy, |
