| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4900

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4900 on page 1 by |

| replacing line 8 with the following: |

| "(a) Subject to the limitations set forth in this Section, |
| 5 |
| the"; and |
| 6 |
| on page 1, by replacing line 21 with the following: |
| 7 |
| "(b) Whenever any such park district, city, village, or"; |
| 8 |
| and |
| 9 |
| on page 2, be replacing lines 19 and 20 with the following: |
| 10 |
| "(c) A park district, city, village, or incorporated town |
| 11 |
| may provide that a higher fine shall be imposed for a speeding |
| 12 |
| violation that occurs on a residential collector street. The |
| 13 |
| fine for any one speeding violation may not, however, exceed |
| 14 |
| $500. |
| 15 |
| As used in this Section, a "residential collector street" |
| 16 |
| is a street identified by the official street map as having the |
| 17 |
| primary function of collecting traffic from local residence |
| 18 |
| district streets and connecting traffic to other collector and |
| 19 |
| arterial streets. |
| 20 |
| (d) A limit so determined and declared by a park district, |
| 21 |
| city, village, or incorporated town under subsection (b) |
| 22 |
| becomes effective, and"; and |
