    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4292 on page 1, line

27, by replacing "2007" with "2006"; and

on page 2, by replacing lines 1 and 2 with the following:

"correctional institution by 14% of the full-time authorized 
6
headcount as of June 30, 2005.  The Department of Corrections";

and

on page 2, line 6, by replacing "5%" with "14%"; and
 
9
on page 2, by replacing lines 7 through 9 with the following:

"required level for more than 30 days."; and

on page 2, by inserting immediately below line 11 the 
12
following:

    "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 
14
2006.".
