| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2373

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2373 on page 5, by |
| 3 |
| replacing lines 3 through 19 with the following: |
| 4 |
| "Services may adopt. The Department of Human Services shall |
| 5 |
| ensure that each client who visits a Department of Human |
| 6 |
| Services office, authorized agent, or community-based |
| 7 |
| organization partnering with the Department of Human Services |
| 8 |
| to apply for benefits is provided an application and requested |
| 9 |
| to complete his or her name and the date and to sign the |
| 10 |
| application to begin the application process that same day."; |
| 11 |
| and
|
| 12 |
| on page 9, line 8, after the period, by inserting the |
| 13 |
| following: "The Department of Human Services may, by rule, |
| 14 |
| allow for a longer period of time between eligibility |
| 15 |
| redeterminations for an individual, household, or family that |
| 16 |
| is eligible for a longer certification period under federal law |
| 17 |
| or waiver.".
