    AN ACT concerning regulation.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Industrial Hygienists Licensure Act is

amended by changing Section 5 as follows:

    Sec. 5. Public policy. Due to the
the increasing problems 
8
relating to
chemical exposure, toxic substances, air 
9
pollution, hazardous waste, radon,
lead poisoning, radiation, 
10
and related health and environmental problems, it is
hereby 
11
declared necessary to protect the public health and safety from 
12
harm by
regulating the profession of industrial hygiene.
