| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 159

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 159 on page 2, by |

| replacing lines 31 through 34 with the following:

| "It is the applicant's responsibility to have the drug test |
| 5 |
| conducted by a licensed physician. Proof of the drug test shall |
| 6 |
| be submitted by the applicant to the driver education |
| 7 |
| instructor (either a high school instructor or a commercial |
| 8 |
| driver education instructor) in a manner and form acceptable to |
| 9 |
| the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State shall adopt |
| 10 |
| rules for implementing this subsection (d)."; and

| 11 |
| on page 2, below line 35, by inserting the following:
|
| 12 |
| "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
| 13 |
| 2006.".
