<reference>110 ILCS 330/7 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>210 ILCS 85/6.22 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act and the Hospital Licensing Act. Provides that every hospital subject to either of the Acts must screen all patients for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in accordance with guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Provides that if a patient tests positive for MRSA, the hospital must so inform the patient and offer treatment to the patient. Requires hospitals to report all cases of MRSA to the Department of Public Health in the form and manner prescribed by the Department in rules.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
