Effective immediately.Housing Affordability Impact Note (Housing Development Authority) Senate Bill 485 represents an increased cost on unoccupied units, however there is insufficient information to determine the actual cost increase to the owner.Senate Floor Amendment No. 1 Provides that the owner of a mobile home is not required to pay the tax under the Act if the owner notifies the local assessing authority, by sworn affidavit, that the mobile home is uninhabited and will no longer be used for human habitation.Fiscal Note (S-AM 1) (Department of Revenue) As amended by Senate Amendment 1, SB 485 would increase revenues realized by local taxing districts.
