<reference>625 ILCS 5/3-663 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>625 ILCS 5/3-664 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides for the issuance of Work Zone license plates and for the issuance Road Worker license plates to qualified applicants. Provides that both types of plates are to be displayed on first division vehicles or on second division vehicles paying the flat weight tax. Provides that the additional fees collected for these plates shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund and the Transportation Safety Highway Hire-back Fund.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>

Reinserts the provisions of the original bill with regard to Road Worker Safety Plates. Provides that the plates may be affixed only to vehicles of the first division and vehicles of the second division weighing no more than 12,000 pounds.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
