<SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that a prisoner serving a sentence for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm or permanent disability or disfigurement when the prisoner knew the individual harmed to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of any of his or her official duties, or the battery is to prevent the officer from performing his or her official duties, or in retaliation for the officer performing his or her official duties and the offense was committed on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly, shall receive no more than 4.5 days of good conduct credit for each month of his or her sentence of imprisonment.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Floor Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>

Provides that the Department of Juvenile Justice shall administer the Interstate Compact for Juveniles, with respect to all juveniles under its jurisdiction, and shall cooperate with the Department of Human Services with regard to all non-offender juveniles subject to the Interstate Compact for Juveniles. Authorizes the Governor to enter into the Interstate Compact for Juveniles. Increases the membership on the State Council for Interstate Compacts. Provides that the amendatory changes to the Unified Code of Corrections take effect on June 1, 2006 and that the Interstate Compact for Juveniles Act of 2006 and the amendatory changes to the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act take effect upon adoption of the Compact by 35 states.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
