<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Creates the Statewide Domestic Violence Offender Database Act. Provides that upon conviction of or a disposition of supervision for a person for a domestic violence offense, the clerk of the court shall transmit within 72 hours to the Department of State Police the following information concerning that person: (1) name; (2) date of birth; (3) domestic violence offense for which the person was convicted or placed on supervision; (4) date of conviction or disposition of supervision; and (5) county where the conviction or disposition of supervision was entered. Provides that the Department of State Police shall establish and maintain a Statewide Domestic Violence Offender Database for the purpose of identifying domestic violence offenders and making that information available to the public. Provides that the Database shall be compiled from the information submitted to the Department of State Police by the circuit clerks. Provides that the Department of State Police must make the information contained in the Statewide Domestic Violence Offender Database accessible on the Internet by means of a hyperlink labeled "Domestic Violence Offender Information" on the Department's World Wide Web home page. Provides that the Department of State Police must update that information as it deems necessary. Effective July 1, 2007.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Changes the definition of domestic violence offense. Provides that the disposition for a domestic violence offense shall be sent to the Department of State Police within 10 business days rather than 72 hours. Provides for the entry into the Illinois Citizens and Law Enforcement Analysis and Reporting System (I-CLEAR) of the disposition information for domestic violence offenses. Provides that until I-CLEAR is operational the information shall be maintained in the Criminal History Record Information (CHRI).</SynopsisText></synopsis>
