<reference>720 ILCS 5/12-3.2</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 12-3.2</aliasreference><reference>730 ILCS 5/5-5-6</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 1005-5-6</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that domestic battery committed in the presence of a child is a Class 4 felony (rather than a Class A misdemeanor) and that a second or subsequent violation is a Class 3 felony (rather than a Class 4 felony). Changes the definition of "child" from a person under 16 who is the defendant's or victim's child or step-child or who is a minor child residing within the household of the defendant or victim to any person under 18 years of age. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to make a conforming change to these provisions.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
