| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Kenneth D. Williams of |
| 4 |
| Oswego on September 7, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born July 30, 1926 in Sedalia, Missouri, |
| 6 |
| the son of Lloyd and Maude Williams; he was a graduate of |
| 7 |
| Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia; he served in the U.S. Army |
| 8 |
| as a paratrooper; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Kenneth was a longtime employee of Geneva |
| 10 |
| Construction, then became associated with Ace Hardware in |
| 11 |
| Aurora for 13 years where he was known as the "Paint Man"; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father and mother, |
| 13 |
| Lloyd and Maude Williams; his wife of 55 years, Catherine; and |
| 14 |
| his grandson, John Williams; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Kenneth D. Williams will be felt by |
| 16 |
| all who knew and loved him, especially his sons, Kenneth |
| 17 |
| (Barbara) Williams and Richard (Donna) Williams; his |
| 18 |
| grandchildren, Kendra (Seth) Kessler, Jared Williams, Jason |
| 19 |
| (fiancee Crystal Wirth) Williams, and Sara (Dominic) Burgo; his |
| 20 |
| great-grandchildren, Luke Young and Katie Schag; and his |
| 21 |
| half-sister, Barbara (Henry) Cannon; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Kenneth D. Williams and extend our sincerest condolences to his |
| 25 |
| family, friends and community; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to the family of Kenneth D. Williams as an expression |
| 28 |
| of our deepest sympathy.
