| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Gerald Duane Elmore of |
| 4 |
| Buda on Friday, July 9, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Gerald Duane Elmore was born on August 1, 1934 in |
| 6 |
| Central City, Nebraska to Weedie Leisure and Fannie Allen |
| 7 |
| (Milby) Elmore; he married Carmencita C. Pinatil on February |
| 8 |
| 14, 1978 in Buda; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Elmore was a school bus driver in Tiskilwa and |
| 10 |
| also drove children from the Western School District to Peoria; |
| 11 |
| he was also a truck driver for Ladd Construction and Advanced |
| 12 |
| Asphalt in Princeton; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Elmore was a member of Teamsters 722, and |
| 14 |
| served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Gerald Duane Elmore has been deeply |
| 16 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Carmencita; his two sons, |
| 17 |
| Gerald Duane (Jennifer Ann) Elmore II and Weedie Leisure Elmore |
| 18 |
| II; his brothers, William (Celia) Elmore, Rollin (Ruth) Elmore, |
| 19 |
| Forest (Dene) Elmore, and Willard (Doris) Elmore; his sisters, |
| 20 |
| Alma (Marion) Bauer and Darlene Hartwig; his granddaughter, |
| 21 |
| Sarah Hope Elmore; and his many nieces and nephews; he was |
| 22 |
| preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, |
| 23 |
| Dermontt "Bud" Hartwig; therefore, be it |
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 26 |
| Gerald Duane Elmore, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
| 27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 28 |
