| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were saddened |
| 3 |
| to learn of the death of Gregory Steven "Greg" Vasich of |
| 4 |
| Naperville on April 9, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on February 27, 1981 in Park Ridge; he |
| 6 |
| attended Maplebrook Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High, |
| 7 |
| and was a 1999 graduate of Naperville Central High School, |
| 8 |
| where he was a National Merit Scholar and a member of the |
| 9 |
| marching band, jazz band, and wind ensemble; and |
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Greg Vasich was a December 2003 graduate, with |
| 11 |
| honors, of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with |
| 12 |
| a bachelor of arts degree in English and Cinema Studies; for |
| 13 |
| five seasons, he played the trombone with the Marching Illini; |
| 14 |
| and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He was employed by Ketchmark & Associates, Burr |
| 16 |
| Ridge, as an engineering assistant; he was a member of Holy |
| 17 |
| Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago and St. |
| 18 |
| Joseph Orthodox Church in Wheaton; and |
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Vasich had a passion for the outdoors and |
| 20 |
| enjoyed camping, hiking, and mountain climbing with his family; |
| 21 |
| he had a very joyous outlook on life; he loved spending time |
| 22 |
| with his family and friends and also enjoyed movies, music, and |
| 23 |
| sports; and |
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Gregory Steven "Greg" Vasich will |
| 25 |
| be deeply felt by many, especially his parents, Milton and |
| 26 |
| Carol (Richards) Vasich; his brothers, Michael, Christopher, |
| 27 |
| and Paul Vasich; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Agnes |
| 28 |
| Richards; his paternal grandparents, Bratislav and Angelija |
| 29 |
| Vasich; his aunts and uncles, Kathy and Richard Belliveau, Jim |
| 30 |
| and Barb Richards, Don and Maria Vasich, and Alex Vasich; and |
