| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death in Kosovo of Kim Bigley, of |
| 4 |
| Paducah, Kentucky, on Saturday, April 17, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Bigley graduated from North Green High School |
| 6 |
| in White Hall and had attended Quincy College; she was a former |
| 7 |
| resident of Vienna, White Hall, and Greenfield; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Prior to going to work for DynCorp as a U.N. peace |
| 9 |
| officer in corrections in Kosovo, Ms. Bigley had been employed |
| 10 |
| by the Illinois Department of Corrections for 19 years, rising |
| 11 |
| to warden at the Shawnee Correctional Center near Vienna in |
| 12 |
| 2002; she previously had worked at the Vienna Correctional |
| 13 |
| Center, Menard Correctional Center, Hill Correctional Center, |
| 14 |
| Jacksonville Correctional Center, and the Green County Impact |
| 15 |
| Incarceration Program; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Kim Bigley has been deeply felt by |
| 17 |
| many, especially her parents, Jim and Janice Bigley; her sons, |
| 18 |
| Casey Morrow and Quinn Morrow; her daughter, Karly Morrow; and |
| 19 |
| her brother, Joe Bigley; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn the |
| 22 |
| passing of Kim Bigley, who valiantly gave her life while trying |
| 23 |
| to help others; and be it further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to the family of Kim Bigley as an expression of our |
| 26 |
| sincerest condolences during their time of bereavement.
