| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, A Petition was filed by Jerry Washington with the |
| 3 |
| Clerk of the House of Representatives on September 10, 2004 |
| 4 |
| challenging the qualifications of Representative Patricia A. |
| 5 |
| Bailey; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Pursuant to the House Rules of the 93rd General |
| 7 |
| Assembly, the House Qualifications Challenge Committee, after |
| 8 |
| having given due and proper notice, met and held hearings with |
| 9 |
| respect to the Petition; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, On November 16, 2004, the House Qualifications |
| 11 |
| Challenge Committee adopted its majority report recommending |
| 12 |
| that the Petition be dismissed and that the action of the |
| 13 |
| Committee be approved and adopted by the House of |
| 14 |
| Representatives; therefore, be it
|
| 15 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 |
| the House does approve and adopt the majority report of the |
| 18 |
| House Qualifications Challenge Committee; and be it further
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, That the Petition is dismissed; and be it further
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, That Representative Patricia A. Bailey is |
| 21 |
| properly seated; and be it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That the attorneys fees and expenses recommended |
| 23 |
| by the House Qualifications Challenge Committee to be |
| 24 |
| reimbursed are reasonable, just, and proper, and the House |
| 25 |
| authorizes that reimbursement from any appropriations |
| 26 |
| available for that purpose.
