| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Beautye |
| 4 |
| Mitchell on Tuesday, December 16, 2003; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Mitchell was married for 64 years to Reverend |
| 6 |
| Felton Mitchell Sr., an associate at Bethsaida Baptist |
| 7 |
| Missionary Church; and |
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Mitchell was a charter member of the |
| 9 |
| Bethsaida Baptist Missionary Church; she worked in the cradle |
| 10 |
| role department, was on the Usher Board, was a Deaconess, and |
| 11 |
| worked in the mission department; she was well-known by the |
| 12 |
| church members and members of her community for her homemade |
| 13 |
| rolls; and |
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Mitchell was the mother of three children; |
| 15 |
| two of her children preceded her in death; her son, Felton |
| 16 |
| Mitchell, is the personal driver for Senator Margaret Smith; |
| 17 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 |
| mourn the passing of Mrs. Beautye Mitchell, and we extend our |
| 21 |
| deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew |
| 22 |
| and loved her; and be it further
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, That that a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to the family of Mrs. Mitchell as an expression of |
| 25 |
| our sincere sympathy during their time of bereavement.
