| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois wish to congratulate the Knights of Columbus, |
| 4 |
| Council No. 1712 of Collinsville on the occasion of its 90th |
| 5 |
| anniversary; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Council No. 1712 received its charter on December |
| 7 |
| 13, 1913; a special mass is planned in honor of the Council |
| 8 |
| which will include the 4th Degree Honor Guard and Father Morris |
| 9 |
| as the guest speaker; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Among the Council's many special events and |
| 11 |
| activities are a Mentally Handicapped/Learning Disability |
| 12 |
| drive, a Spelling Bee Contest, a Free Throw Competition, and a |
| 13 |
| Christmas party for children; the Council contributes to the |
| 14 |
| Special Olympics, supports the Fairview Heights Autism |
| 15 |
| Program, and makes donations to the recreational center, |
| 16 |
| Shriners Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Hospital, and Collinsville |
| 17 |
| High School; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 |
| congratulate the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1712 of |
| 21 |
| Collinsville on its 90th anniversary; and be it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1712 of |
| 24 |
| Collinsville as an expression of our respect and esteem and |
| 25 |
| with many thanks for its contributions to the community.
